Thursday, December 27, 2012

I've been watching UK Skins for about 3 days now. I've been watching it on the fabulous laptop Brandon bought me for Christmas. And now I'm way too involved and Chris just died and Cassie's run away to NY and I can't sleep. In fact, I've taken extra diet pills to stay awake. Well, that and it's after 4AM and sleep isn't happening anyways. So why not do a post eh?

How to Cover a Tattoo

Hey, everyone has tattoos they hate. If you say you don't, you're lying to yourself so you don't feel so much like a jackass.
I hate the clovers on my wrist. I hated it pretty much as it was happening. It's so ugly. So I'm going to show you how to cover it up.
God, look at how bad this shit is.
 You'll need-
Hard Candy Glamoflauge and Revlon PhotoReady Powder which for some reason isn't in this picture.
To start, take the pencil concealer (it comes in a package together) and trace the outline plus any other black/grey areas.
Next, start gradually layering on the concealer, try to really concentrate it but not so obviously cake it on.
Finish up with a layer of powder and you're all set to go. Do this for occasions, jobs, whatever. It's cheaper than laser removal.

The Thomas Campbell Project

Thomas Campbell has been my favorite artist for years and years now. When I really admire something I like to pay tribute to it by doing something with my own spin it's honor. I don't sell these. They sit around my home and when people ask about them I always refer to them to the original artist or inspiration.
I decided that what I was going to do for Campbell was turn one of his pieces into an embroidery work. It's not anywhere near finished, but here's a little peek.

Dinosaur Army Men Lamp restyle DIY

I've seen a few of these lamps around the internet lately and they were crazy expensive. I was like psssh I can make that.
I found this lamp in my basement, I already had the spray paint. I had to buy glue sticks, the toys, and the new lamp shade. It cost like $20 all together.
I was afraid I wouldn't have enough of either and they literally only had 1 package of each.

Matte spray paint, canned coffee. Do this outside.

Just do a layer of paint, wait about 20 and flip over to paint the other side.
Then all I did was start piling them on with no real pattern or order.
After I figured it was enough I took a blow dryer to melt away all those flyaway strands of glue from the glue gun. Switched out the shade and there you go. I'm pretty pleased with myself.

Cross Sweater, Dungeon boots, seems about right

Sometimes when I'm editing pictures and I see my butt the way everyone else does, I'm like "damn" like everyone else does.
Oh yeah, that's the bread isle at WalMart
I just love these shoes so much.

Shark tooth rosary

I would list instructions but it seems kind of self explanatory. And taking apart a rosary is not going to send you to hell. No false idols is one of the Commandments and if God wants to talk about it, we'll talk about it Thursday.
